The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides access to its Environmental Test Methods and Guidelines

Fundamental constants are available in a database at the  National Institute of Standards and Technology

The X-Ray World Wide Web Server at Uppsala University has several databases of information on x-ray emission, absorption, scattering, electron binding energies, as well as historical information.

Many databases with biological or biochemical information are managed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).

The Protein Data Bank of the Research Collaboratory for Structural Bioinformatics offers access to three-dimensional structures of biological macromolecules, provide a wealth of resources for using the information they contain in creative ways, and have links to many other resources of potential interest to many analytical scientists.

The Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre accesses data on small-to-medium sized molecules.

Several databases provide access to genomic information, a field to which analytical chemistry is making major contributions. Most of the databases provide general information on their home pages for the newcomer to the field. Among the sources of databases are:
