When we were at school, many of us heard that there are three aggregate states: liquid, solid, and gaseous. But, suddenly, there are actually a little more.

Thus, science knows that another aggregate state of matter is plasma. In this case, it is quite possible to see it with the eyes. Things are much more complicated with the other states.

For example, there is a variant in which the bonds of molecules in matter are in an unusual position, which makes their existence real only “on paper”. Such, for example, include “Bose-Einstein condensate” and “time crystals”.

According to scientists, the latter are characterized by the constant repetitive motion of molecules. The surprising thing about them is that they don’t spend any energy for this.

In turn, the substance in the “Bose-Einstein condensate” state describes boson particles of high density and low temperature.
